Licensed Smog Technicians. Delivers our core smog check service in a speedy, fully compliant manner. Requires all necessary current ASE certifications and an enhanced area smog technician's license.
On a limited basis, Licensed Smog Technicians are required to act as Customer Service Lead. As a result must meet all the requirements for Customer Service Lead except the ability to qualify to perform DMV registration services (this is optional but not required).

Customer Service Lead. Greets customers, writes service orders, seats customers and ensures that they are comfortable while at Fire House Smog. Provides test results to customer and completes sales transactions. Provides vehicle registration services. Ensures that the customer lobby and restrooms are operating properly (including complimentary beverage bar, cable tv, library, etc.). Fields incoming telephone calls and helps callers come to Fire House Smog. Assists licensed Smog Technicians by staging vehicles and in other ways that do not require a smog tech license.  Assists in accounting and administration processes.

This position is a key part of the team. Must provide excellent customer service. Requires a California driver license and must be able to qualify to perform DMV registration services. Knowledge of emissions regulations and general automotive knowledge is helpful but may be learned on the job.
